Animatrix, an interactive design company, was founded in Palo Alto in 1984.

Animatrix created the first 'Guided Tour of the Macintosh', designed the first interface for Macromedia Director and shares a patent with TV Guide/News Corp for the first interactive TV Guide. Animatrix was a pioneer in interactive design, creating over 300 projects, including the launch of Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Word and Excel, Hewlett Packard's first printer and Kleiner Perkins’ first web site.

Animatrix has created large-scale projects for AT&T, The Limited, Clinique, Domino's Pizza, Perot Systems, and the Walt Disney Company.

Marney Morris, founder of Animatrix, was honored as a 'Wonder Woman of the Web' by Town & Country Magazine and as one of the 'Top 25 Women on the Web' by Upside magazine. Marney has been a speaker at the TED conference, MIT, The Art Center and the Stanford Publishing Conference. She has been a strategic consultant to KPMG, ABC, Walt Disney Imagineering, and the Oxygen Network among others. She has taught interaction design at Stanford University and continues to consult on design and engineering issues.

Animatrix will be launching RNNR early next year. RNNR is a software application for designers and managers to easily prototype and share ideas.
